Are you looking for an in-person opportunity to explore whether your company may be eligible for Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) investment tax credits?

Ben Pritchard, a consultant from London-based Invennt Business Inc., will be in Vancouver from March 4-6 and available to meet with VRCA members.

To encourage and boost innovation in the construction industry, the Canadian Construction Association and VRCA have partnered with Invennt to offer SR&ED credit writing services to the Lower Mainland’s construction industry.

SR&ED investment tax credits provide tax relief to eligible Canadian businesses to offset the cost of innovation. They are designed to encourage innovation by allowing businesses to reclaim some of the money they have spent on developing new — or improving existing — methods, processes, services and products.

SR&ED tax credits were first introduced in 1984 but awareness of the program in construction is low, despite most businesses being eligible for at least some tax relief. By booking an exploratory review, not only will you learn more about the SR&ED credit tax relief program, you will gain insight on your firm’s eligibility or what may be necessary to qualify in the future.

The exploratory review is complimentary and risk-free. Companies would only pay a commission should a claim be successful.
