VRCA member Western Pacific Enterprises (WPE) was recently awarded the Lieutenant Governor Safety Award for data and digital technology in technical safety.
The Lieutenant Governor Safety Awards recognize exceptional leadership, achievement or innovation in technical safety among individuals and organizations in B.C.
WPE’s division manager, Derek Fettback, and its director of safety and procurement, Wayne Fettback, implemented the award-winning software program designed to store data on safety best practices, safety statistics and training records across work sites. This software allows outside auditors to complete safety audits, and the data collected is used to prevent future safety issues and to keep employees safe.
