VRCA has issued the call for nominations for the 2019/20 Board of Directors, Divisional Councils and Vice Chairs. The following message was emailed by VRCA president Fiona Famulak to all integrated VRCA members on November 29.
VRCA’s Board of Directors is responsible for governing the association i.e. leading and guiding the association towards achieving its vision, mission and strategic goals. The Board’s composition reflects the majority of VRCA’s membership and includes representatives from three Divisions – general contractors, trade contractors and manufacturers, suppliers and service providers. The three Divisions are responsible for working with the President to engage their respective members on key industry and business matters and informing the Board as appropriate.
1. Call for nominations – 2019/20 Board of Directors
The governance of the VRCA is vested in a Board of 14 directors elected by the membership. The 2019/20 Board of Directors will be elected at the Annual General Meeting on February 21, 2019. There are 4 vacancies on the 2019/20 Board of Directors to be filled by members from the general and trade contractors, manufacturers and suppliers Divisions.
If you are interested in running for a position on the 2019/20 Board of Directors, please review the 2019/20 Board of Directors Nomination Package, complete the required details and submit to [email protected] no later than Thursday, December 20, 2018, at 5pm.
2. Call for nominations – 2019/20 Divisional Council Chairs and Vice Chairs
Each of the three Divisions has a Divisional Council comprising a Chair and two Vice Chairs, who are elected or appointed to serve and represent the Division for one year commencing at the Annual General Meeting. Participation on a Divisional Council demonstrates your desire to help VRCA deliver its progressive 2017-2020 strategic plan and deliver value to VRCA’s 740+ members and is a key criteria that is considered for an individual’s future participation on the Board of Directors.
